Your role
You'll take a leading role in day-to-day intraday trading within our 24/7 operation, working alongside experienced traders and quantitative developers. You'll contribute both to live execution and to the evolution of our strategies and automated trading capabilities.
- Make and manage intraday trading decisions across European power markets, balancing opportunity, liquidity, and risk.
- Execute, review, and refine established trading strategies; develop new approaches backed by market observation and data.
- Interpret market fundamentals, forecast updates, interconnector flows, order-book liquidity, and price dynamics in real time.
- Collaborate with quantitative colleagues and developers on measurable signals, trading tools, and reliable execution.
- Help design, evaluate, and monitor systematic and algorithmic execution, including where human judgement adds value.
- Review trading outcomes, improve desk processes, performance, and risk discipline.
- Mentor colleagues, encourage debate and contribute to robust shift handovers.
- Uphold operational reliability, market conduct and compliance.
Your background
- Demonstrable professional intraday power trading experience, especially European proprietary trading.
- Strong commercial judgement and calm decisions under uncertainty and time pressure.
- Understanding of market microstructure, liquidity, execution, position management, and risk.
- Curiosity about quantitative research, models, data, and automation; coding welcome but not required.
- Resilient, disciplined, independent, and open to feedback and challenge.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and knowledge sharing.
- Willingness to join a rotating shift setup supporting trading 24/7, 365 days a year.
